The difference between the two mainly includes three aspects, composition, purpose and production process.
6061 aluminum has more composition and stronger hardness than 6063;

1. Different composition

6061 aluminum alloy composition contains 0.6%Mg, 0.25%Cu, 1.0%Mg, 0.09%Cr, hard strength 316Mpa, soft strength 127Mpa, used in corrosion-resistant structures, trucks, ships, vehicles, furniture, etc.
2. Different uses
6063 aluminum alloy is widely used in the frame of building aluminum doors, windows and curtain walls. In order to ensure that doors, windows and curtain walls have high wind pressure resistance, assembly performance, corrosion resistance and decoration performance, the comprehensive performance requirements of aluminum alloy profiles are much higher than those in industry Profile standards.
6061 aluminum alloy is a high-quality aluminum alloy product produced by heat treatment and pre-stretching process, although its strength cannot be compared with 2XXX series or 7XXX library series. 3. Different production process
The T6 process of 6061 is: solution treatment temperature is 530 degrees, artificial aging is made into a T6 state of 160 degrees for plates, and 175 degrees for bars and plates with a thickness of 80 degrees or more. 6063's T5 state is air-cooled and artificial aging. The deformation coefficient is small, easy to control, and the hardness is average. The T6 state is water-cooled, the deformation coefficient is large, it is not easy to control, and the hardness is high.
